From June 2019 to September 9, 2021 - Minister of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of Kazakhstan.

From September 9, 2021 to January 11, 2022 - Minister of Energy.

From January 13, 2022 to April 2022 - Advisor to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From April 14, 2022 to May 2024 - Chairman of the Management Board, Member of the Board of Directors of JSC National Company KazMunayGas.

 

In 1999 he graduated from Turan University, an international economist.

In 2003, he graduated from the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, an international economist.

He also studied at the Caspian State University of Technology and Engineering named after Sh. Yesenov, development of oil and gas fields.

He completed an internship in the USA and Malaysia.

From 2001 to 2004, he was an engineer for drilling fluids at MIDrillingFluidsInternational (Schlumberger) fields of Tengiz and Western Siberia.
